> Where can I buy the EvE Strategic Map Book?
The book can be purchased in the Eve-Online store.

> How can I keep my book updated when new outposts being built?
The book is delivered with a sheet of stickers identical to the outpost icon. As outposts are built, you just stick on a new sticker.

> What size is the Eve Strategic Map Book?
A4 size, the pages themselves are heavy-weight, wire-o bound, with a covered spine.

> What size is the free poster?
A1 size, delivered folded.

> Why was wire-ring binding chosen, rather than stitched?
Once your using the book, you'll want to flip open to maps, and enable it to rest flat on your desk, wire-o binding makes this easy.

> Why a printed book?
After playing Eve for 5 years, and buying ever-more screens to be able to view maps at the same time as play, I figured it was considerably cheaper to have a high-quality printed book than buy another screen.

> When did you first have the idea for these maps?
The very first maps (the basis of the style used) were black & white maps created back in 2003, for the few regions where my friends hung-out. Since then, the request for new maps expanded to a point where it just made sense to complete all regions. Switching to color enabled increasing the amount of information to suit the needs of all Eve Players.

> Why are 2d Maps for Eve better than 3d in-Game maps?
There are many reasons, but to list a few:
- The logical grouping of some regions in EvE don't show the strategic value. A case from the demo map is that part of Querious is actually in Delve and has no connection to Querious. The Eve Strategic Map of Delve includes the Querious systems.
- Since the in-game map is actually 3D, there are many regions where either the 2D map shows overlaps in systems, that appear connected, but are not (or) the 3D map requires a lot of twisting and turning. Not something you want to do while chasing an enemy in PvP
- The in-game maps only show one 'layer' of information at a time. For Strategic Planning, you need to see multiple layers eg. Sec Status, Ice Fields, NPC Stations, Outposts, Complexes, etc. etc. all at the same time.

>What do the coloured grid around the 2nd edition mean ?
The grid is coloured to match the primary security of systems on the map - Green for high-security, Red for low security and orange for 0.0 space (no sec).

>What does the grey background on systems in the index mean?
The grey background is placed behind systems that are included on a region map, but are not from that region. This is so you easily look-up border systems appearing on other region maps. The map number also appears next to the region name on the map.
